FAQ: FAQ
  • IS THIS ANOTHER WOUNDED WARRIOR PROGRAM?
No. Although these are valuable programs and we can never do enough to thank these Service Members (SM) for their sacrifice, our vision is to benefit those SMs who do not have significant wounds or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). We wish to thank those SMs who return and just need some time with their families away from home. Our goal is for them to reconnect with their loved ones and recover from their deployment.
  • HOW WILL YOU IDENTIFY APPROPRIATE CANDIDATES FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY?
We work with our contacts in all the branches of the military. We get information from the candidate’s First Sergeants who know their staff. These First Sergeants are tasked to oversee the morale and good discipline of their enlisted members. They know the men and women in their charge. They know their family members, they know their difficulties and challenges, financial, legal, and marital. Our general criteria are the candidate(s) will have recently returned from a deployment, will have no disciplinary issues or mental health conditions, will have an upstanding military record and will be chosen by their First Sergeant.
  • I UNDERSTAND SOME FUNDING IS BEING PROCURED TO BUY A BT HERO HOUSE. WILL MULTIPLE BT HERO HOUSE(S) MEET THE OBJECTIVES OF YOUR PROGRAM?
Yes. The intention is for the BT HERO HOUSE(s) to provide multiple locations in order to serve more military families. We have also reached out to owners of vacation rental properties for assistance. They have been kind enough to provide their rental property free of charge for one week at a time when it is not otherwise occupied. In addition to financial donations, we certainly appreciate vacation homeowners to donate their properties for this purpose. We wish to acquire multiple “BT HERO HOUSE(s)” to have more flexibility in scheduling and more weeks to service more military families.
  • BESIDES THE WEEK IN THE BT HERO HOUSE, WHAT OTHER BENEFITS WILL THESE RETURNING SMS RECEIVE?"
We provide a stipend towards transportation. We also provide the SM and family a stipend towards groceries and/or local area recreational activities as well as possible coupons for dinners. We also ask our local restaurants and recreation companies for coupons/vouchers towards these expenses.
  • WHO OWNS THE BT HERO HOUSE?
The Brandi Tramazzo Hero House for Recovering Warriors Foundation owns and operates the BT HERO HOUSE(s). The foundation purchased a property in Blackwater, Missouri and will have responsibility for operations, maintenance, and finance of the infrastructure for each location. Our goal is to acquire another BT HERO HOUSE in Marco Island, Florida. We hold ongoing fundraisers throughout the year which will also go into the general operating funds to cover the carrying costs of the BT HERO HOUSE(s) as well as providing stipends to the SM’s. The BT HERO HOUSE(s) are to be used to fulfill the mission of the organization.
